Our first-ever IMSA weekend was an absolute success. Qualifying went our way (thanks to a timely red flag), and we headed into the race starting in P3 with Tristan set to start the race behind the wheel.
We ran at the front of the TCR class during the first stint of the race, even leading laps (and garnering significant TV time!). Tristan did a tremendous job of managing our Audi as the first stint wore on. A full-course caution slowed the race at the 1-hour mark, and after our pit stop and a driver change, Britt started his drive from the 9th position.
In the second hour of the race, Britt was aggressive yet calculated as he worked to regain the track position we had before the driver change. He was able to execute a handful of passes but unfortunately ran out of tires and time to complete the climb back up the standings.
In the end, our IMSA debut ended with a P6 finish in class and without a mark on the car. Everyone on the team worked tremendously hard to achieve our goal of a competitive, drama-free weekend and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We want to give a massive thank you to our drivers, Tristan Herbert, and Britt Casey Jr., and our awesome sponsors listed below. Without them, we aren’t on track in Michelin Pilot Challenge.
